Mulch!

Well, they dropped off the chipped wood this morning. A medium dump truck full! Of course, considering where it came from, it's a mixture of various tree types, including some evergreen. So the garden will be well mulched this summer and plenty left for the compost pit/pile.

One of the rabbits is dead. Found wounds on his side. Apparently the cute, cuddly rabbits had a fight to the death last night. One of the three is a female, so it must be mating season. I buried the dead one out next to the shed where other animals are buried. What a bummer.

There's an amazing amount of heavy equipment around the house today. They're still trimming trees at the dance studio in back. That takes a large cherry picker, dump truck and wood chipper. While in front, the gas company has reached my house to dig up and replace old pipes and the meter. So the gas is off at least part of the day. Glad I already made coffee! They have a backhoe, trencher and heavy vehicle transport there. Too bad there's no way to capitalize on all the heavy equipment.

Not much to do at the moment. Just hang out and see if I get work tonight.
